Unlocking National Research Opportunities: A RIIM Proposal Sharing Session

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics at Diponegoro University recently held an insightful academic event titled Sharing Session: Tips & Tricks to Secure Research and Innovation Funding for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. This session aimed to equip researchers and lecturers with practical knowledge and effective strategies for crafting competitive research proposals eligible for RIIM funding—one of Indonesia’s premier national research grant schemes. The event featured two distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati, M.AppSc, who emphasized aligning research topics with national priorities, and Ir. Marcelinus Christwardana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., who shared valuable experiences in preparing structured and impactful research proposals. The session covered essential aspects such as problem identification, well-defined objectives, appropriate methodology, realistic budgeting and scheduling, as well as meaningful research outcomes. Participants also gained actionable tips, including the importance of cross-institutional collaboration, publishing in reputable journals, planning for impactful deliverables, and refining proposals based on peer feedback. This sharing session serves as a valuable guide to help the academic community enhance the quality of their research submissions and increase their chances of securing national funding.
